Jakarta City Council Commission A Chairman, Inggard Joshua reminded the building construction must comply with regulation ranging from license up to zoning compliance.

"We must act according to the regulation. As long as the rules have not been revoked, sanctions will be imposed so as not to build outside the permit," he stated, during audience with RW 12 residents, Cengkareng Barat Urban Village, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, at Jakarta City Council Building, Tuesday (11/12).

Inggard said that the imposition of sanctions and enforcement is carried out to provide a deterrent effect and help prevent other violations from occurring.

He appreciated the audience and coordination between the community and the government to maintain a conducive atmosphere. In addition, Inggard also asked the government to further socialize the regulations to the community.

"We are subject to the regulations. We will take action for building violate the regulation. Including places of worship that do not yet have permits, we will help them to obtain permits as long as they do not interfere with public interests," he added.

Meanwhile, RT 06/12 Secretary, Cengkareng Barat Urban Village, David Effendy requested buildings that violate the regulation to be controlled.

"We hope there will be fair law enforcement through this hearing, neither party is harmed. We remain open the dialogue," he stated.
